SmartCord Gingival Retraction Cord by EastDent
The SmartCord gingival retraction cord by EastDent is epinephrine-free and used for gingival retraction.
Typically, when a dentist prepares a tooth for crown placement, a small piece of cord is inserted between the tooth and the gum.
When a decayed tooth is filled, the filling material may extend under the gum line, so a gingival retraction cord is used. This cord works ideally in combination with a hemostatic agent.
The retraction cord helps displace the gum from the tooth during gum bleeding treatment, tooth preparation for crown placement, and dental impression taking. It also prevents gum damage during treatment.
