P.G.A Absorbable Surgical Suture Thread (Sutures)
The P.G.A absorbable surgical suture is manufactured in Iran and made from a synthetic polymer called Polyglycolic Acid (PGA). Its surface is coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate, which helps reduce tissue inflammation during the healing process.
The suture is completely absorbed within 28 to 60 days through hydrolysis, while maintaining up to 70% of its tensile strength during the first two weeks.
It is suitable for soft tissue approximation, vascular ligation, ophthalmic surgeries, and gastrointestinal anastomosis.
