Falcon Gingival Cord Packer
The Falcon Gingival Cord Packer is used for placing retraction cords into the gingival sulcus during dental procedures. This instrument features a stainless steel body and a classic octagonal handle design (simple 8-sided), offering precision, durability, and ergonomic handling. It is one of the highest-quality dental instruments designed for restorative and prosthodontic applications.
Instrument Cleaning Method
Wash all instruments thoroughly with water, soap, and a brush while wearing thick protective gloves, ensuring that all grooves and serrations are completely free from blood or any contaminants. Immediately rinse all blood-contaminated instruments with cold water after use, as dried blood coagulates and becomes difficult to remove. Moreover, microorganisms present in the blood may survive the sterilization process.
Next, immerse the instruments in a disinfectant solution and place them in an ultrasonic cleaner. After this stage, perform a second manual cleaning, then carefully dry all instruments before packing and placing them in the autoclave.
Avoid soaking the instruments in disinfectant for more than 10 minutes. Prevent stacking instruments; place heavier tools at the bottom. To avoid corrosion transfer and rusting, separate any damaged instruments, and ensure all locks and joints are fully released before sterilization.
