For constructing FRC (Fiber-Reinforced Composite) bridges
-
For reinforcing long-span bridges
-
For splinting in periodontal surgeries
-
For fabricating Maryland bridges
-
For reducing C-Factor stress in composite restorations
-
For direct fabrication of ceramic (porcelain) crowns and bridges
-
For temporary crown and bridge fabrication, using direct or indirect techniques
Advantages and Features:
-
Cost-effective
-
Easily adaptable due to soft and flexible fibers
-
Packed in light- and heat-resistant sachets
-
Easy to cut, no special scissors required
-
Extremely high strength – up to 10 times stronger than dry fibers
-
Tactile and easy to handle due to cold plasma treatment in manufacturing
-
Excellent anatomical adaptation to canal shape due to fiber flexibility
-
High flexural strength due to integrated glass fiber bands
Important Notes:
-
Due to water absorption, it must be completely covered with restorative resin inside the oral cavity; otherwise, its properties may alter.
-
As long as it remains fully covered by resin, it maintains long-term stability in the mouth.
-
Do not expose to light before use because of its resin content.
-
For temporary crown and bridge fabrication, no groove preparation is needed initially — perform the final groove adjustment afterward.
-
Each strip can be used for approximately three periodontal splints.
-
In larger areas, it is recommended to use two layers for added strength.
